Recently, an American Airlines flight faced some turmoil after a woman on-board allegedly tried to force-open the plane door and harm flight attendants, resulting in the woman being duct-taped to the seat.
The situation occurred on American Airlines flight 1774, and the video was captured by a TikTok user. The two-hour flight heading to North Carolina from Dallas and the person who captured the video explained the situation. The TikTok user said, “It was just kind of like chaos, and no one knows what’s going on.” From there, the pilot of the plane announced that a “bad situation” was going on in the plane, and the person who captured the situation said, “Then we’re gradually starting to hear more and more screaming, and we’re like, ‘Wait a minute.'"
American Airlines issued a statement on the matter, saying the woman was duct-taped because she assaulted a flight attendant by biting after the woman “attempted to open the forward boarding door.” The airline company said the woman was duct-taped “for the safety and security of other customers and our crew.”
