Scottie Pippen caused a reaction from Kevin Durant but may be hearing from other NBA players after his comments in a recent GQ interview.

Despite being teammates on the Houston Rockets, Scottie Pippen criticized Charles Barkley while addressing his departure from the Rockets after only one year. After joining the Rockets in 1999, Pippen demanded a trade after only one season. Barkley spoke out against Pippen and said the six-time champion owed him an apology for leaving the team so soon.

At the time, Pippen claimed Barkley owed him "an apology for coming to play with his sorry fat butt." He also called Barkley "selfish" and said he "wouldn’t give Charles Barkley an apology at gunpoint."

Pippen addressed the situation again during his GQ feature after he was asked about Barkley stating he would be arrested for murder if Pippen didn't apologize to him.

"I wish he woulda went through with it," Pippen responded. "I never apologized to him, but I'll tell you what: He only got arrested for throwing some little White guys out of a window. I ain't never seen him fight a Black man unless there were referees around. He plays his role like he's tough. I don't know nobody he done whooped. Go back and check his record. Did I apologize to him? I told him to get me the hell out of there. That's what I recall."

Barkley has not addressed Pippen's comments.
