Robert Griffin III had to explain himself on Twitter after attempting to highlight his wife's figure. Last week, the free-agent NFL quarterback posted his own video meme about seeing his wife in a sundress. Seemingly responding to negative comments, RGIII incorporated his original post into a new post of his wife working out and highlighted her race.
"cOmE oN bRO yOUr WiFe iS wHiTE," he wrote along with this wife, Grete Sadeiko, doing squats.
After many questioned his post, including sports journalist Taylor Rooks, Griffin offered an explanation to his post.
"Being white don't mean you ain't got no cheeks," Griffin responded to Rooks. "Joke was my wife couldn't fill out a sundress. And yes I love my wife and I'm proud of her business."
Griffin continued to explain himself in subsequent responses, stating that he was defending his wife and complimenting her. He also argued that being a Black man who dates outside of his race doesn't make him anti-Black.
