Former boxing champion Oscar De La Hoya is slated to return to the ring for an exhibition fight against former UFC champion Vitor Belfort on September 11.

This fight will mark the first time De La Hoya has entered the ring as a combatant in 13 years. According to Mike Coppinger of The Athletic, the fight will likely be held in Las Vegas and will feature 12-ounce gloves. The fight will also be promoted under the Triller Fight Club banner, promoter Ryan Kavanaugh confirmed Thursday to ESPN.

Per ESPN: "The music will be overseen by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, the Verzuz founders. De La Hoya vs. Belfort will be the main event of the boxing card that Saturday night"

De La Hoya will be fighting MMA luminary, Vitor Belfort, who set a UFC record for most knockouts with 12. As a professional boxer, Belfort is 1-0.
