Update 06/18/2021 9:05am:

Pooh Shiesty’s year has seen many ups and downs, as the rapper saw himself rising to become a star of Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records, and also landed on the 2021 XXL Freshman Class cover for his run. However, an alleged shooting in Miami has been looming over the rapper, as he was arrested for the incident. Shiesty turned himself into the police for the incident, and since then, the security guard who accused him of shooting has recanted their statement to the police. However, the rapper was reportedly denied bail despite the guard taking back their statement.

The Miami Herald noted the security guard—Frivin Dor, was not cooperating with the authorities after being hit in the ankle with a bullet. The judge on the rapper’s case denied his bond, and now Pooh Shiesty will have to stay behind bars until July 22, 2021, when his preliminary hearing takes place.

According to the prosecutor in the case, a “federal detainer” was placed on Pooh Shiesty for another pending state criminal case. The case they’re referencing is another alleged shooting that went down in October 2020 for a drug deal that went left. As of now, Pooh Shiesty is facing up to 20 years in prison if convicted.

Now, the security guard—Frivin Dor, has recanted his account and is also passing on pressing charges against Pooh Shiesty.

In a transcribed interview that Dor had with Pooh Shiesty’s legal team, he noted that he was given a powerful painkiller called Dilaudid upon his arrival at the hospital after the shooting. He noted he didn’t remember anything while speaking to a detective. Along with that, Dor suggested the incident may have gone down due to a spinning ceiling fan in the club that fell in an adjacent parking garage.
