Lil Dicky acknowledged some of his past controversial content during his profile story with GQ. During the interview, the rapper explained why he took his music video to "White Dude" off YouTube.

The 2013 music video sparked criticism for depicting Lil Dicky as a White man parading through life much easier than a person of color or woman. Dicky decided to take the music video down after realizing that people found the song and visuals offensive.

"Even though I knew I was never serious with it and it was just a joke, it just didn't feel like a joke I was proud of and I don't like making jokes I'm not proud of," he explained. "I'm aware of how insensitive my art can be, but I'm a very sensitive person and I hate offending people. If I see anybody that's offended by something I'm doing, it really hurts my heart, truly."

Lil Dicky also addressed his 2018 hit, "Freaky Friday," which featured Chris Brown. The video shows the two artists switch bodies as Brown is now able to enjoy a peaceful life, while Dicky enjoys the R&B superstar's luxuries and is allowed to use the n-word.

While the n-word lyrics were sung by Brown, viewers took issue with Dicky roaming around Chris Brown's house only to find a gun. Critics also used the success of "Freaky Friday" to highlight Chris Brown's past with Rihanna and Karrueche Tran.

"With Chris Brown, we can do one of two things: We can never hear from him again and say 'I won't accept any Chris Brown whatsoever,' or I feel like we can allow him to use his talent for good," Lil Dicky responded. "When I see people react to the song, I really think that it makes people laugh and it makes people happy. I don't think it's the type of thing that really is making the world a worse place, on a micro-specific, talking-about-the-song level."

The second season of Lil Dicky's FX show, "Dave," is set to premiere Wednesday, June 16.
