According to reports, President Biden is set to withdraw the Trump-era executive orders banning the Chinese-based social media platforms, Tik Tok and WeChat.

Part of the withdrawal will include a new security review into the popular apps headed by the Department of Commerce. Officials have expressed concern that the apps collect users' personal data and have connections to the Chinese military or intelligence activities.

As part of Trump's string of executive orders, he looked to block Americans from downloading both WeChat and Tik Tok. However, that order never took effect after the courts blocked the measures.
