ASAP Rocky has been in the news recently, as the rapper has reportedly been dating Rihanna and also is gearing up for the release of his new album ‘All Smiles.’ Now, it has been revealed that Rocky will be the CEO for a day for the company Klarna.
Klarna is a global payment provider that allows customers to buy goods on simple payment plans and is being used by many retailers worldwide. It was noted that Rocky is a shareholder in the company and will only be the CEO for one day.
Klarna CEO and co-founder Sebastian Siemiatkowski spoke on Rocky’s involvement with the company, saying, “ASAP Rocky defies categorization; a musician, actor, philanthropist, an opinion leader in style, and fundamentally someone who understands what the public wants from so many vantage points.” The CEO continued saying, “He challenges the status quo each day. As the consumer experience in retail now demands discovery, curation and sustainability, we at Klarna have a lot to learn from him. Besides, after sixteen years since founding Klarna, I think I deserve a day off.”
The rapper’s duties will find him curating exclusive content for the brand and also “renounce the global fashion hibernation” that went down in 2020. Along with that, Rocky will be a part of Klarna’s GiveOne sustainability initiative, where he’ll pledge one percent of his investment to biodiversity and climate projects.
