Pusha T's coke raps have gained him universal praise among rap purists and fans. However, those same bars have possibly gotten the rapper blackballed from publishing children's books.
On Tuesday, a fan and media personality revealed to Pusha T that he uses The Clipse's "Keys Open Doors" song to educate his two-year-old.
"I know what it's written about but when I play Keys Open Doors for my two-year-old it is actually a non-double-entendre educational song," the fan tweeted. "I'm saying Clipse is for the children. Shout out @PUSHA_T."
Pusha T responded to the fan's tweet and revealed he's had difficulty getting his children's book published for years.
"Thanx and I've been trying to write a children's book for years...they won’t publish me," he responded.
Writer and music journalist Keith Nelson Jr. joined the conversation and told the Clipse member that he hasn't been published because of the drug references in his music. Pusha T confirmed the writer's reason and wrote, "A simple metaphor can be the death of you."
