Last year in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood, a man named Aaron Carter was killed when bullets entered the back of his home in August. Now, Carter’s wife—Asiah Carter, has come out to say she believes a song that surfaced from the alleged killers amounts to a confession.
While speaking to CBS Chicago, Asiah talked about a song that surfaced that she feels is related to Aaron’s death, saying, “It was so disturbing because nobody in the entire state of Illinois had claimed Aaron’s death until these guys did.” She continued, saying, “They literally sang about it, and they continue to mock him. It’s not fair to kill people and mock their families. It’s not trendy.”
Carter then showed the video and pointed out the similarities to her husband’s death, saying, “That’s Aaron. He hopped the gate. That’s all the similar things that happened with Aaron’s murder. You see how they’re in the alley in the backyard? Right on 75th. It was so disturbing because nobody in the entire state of Illinois had claimed Aaron’s death until these guys did.” News of this comes after Maryland ruled that rap lyrics could be used as evidence in the court of law earlier this year.
