Update 05/18/2021 4:28pm:

Former NBA player Kwame Brown unleashed a series of disrespectful social media posts aimed at basketball peers Matt Barnes, Stephen Jackson, and Gilbert Arenas. Brown took issue with Arenas and the "All The Smoke" co-hosts joking about him and his career. Following Brown's social media posts, Stephen Jackson followed in his co-hosts footsteps and issued his response to Brown.

"So Kwame Brown got mad at us...he got mad at me because Jeanie Buss was talking about a trade that he was involved in and I said, 'No, it was one player in the trade and not two.' Joking on his basketball skills," Jackson said. "Everybody in the world has joked on your basketball skills, bro."

Jackson continued to address Brown by telling him not to take the jokes personally. Jackson added that Brown had no one to be mad at but himself because he was the number one pick in the draft, while Jackson was the second-to-last pick.

"Don't make it personal, bro," Jackson continued. "People joke about some things in my career. I don't take it personal, but they can't say I was sorry. They can't say I was a bust. So, bro be mad at yourself, everybody joke on you."

Jackson ended his response by saying Brown had the right to defend himself before confessing to the personal claims Brown made about him.

Gilbert Arenas took the high road on the matter when responding to an Instagram user's comment. Arenas claimed Brown was "like Holyfield" in real life and recalled an incident where Brown and his brother took on over two-dozen bodyguards by themselves at a club.

"It's okay bro...he spazzing yesterday smdh but he crazy for real tho...that was tipsy dee boo, drunk dee Boo is very dangerous....he's like Holyfield in really life," Arenas wrote. "I've body guards been put to sleep...it took 20 body guards to take him and his brother down inside a club......outside the club it was 6 body guards and them two n***** picked 3 each to take on."

Since calling out Matt Barnes, Gilbert Arenas, and Stephen Jackson, Kwame Brown has also addressed Stephen A. Smith after the sports commentator's various remarks about the former NBA player over the years.

Update 05/18/2021 12:13pm:

Matt Barnes responded to Kwame Brown calling him out in a rant over the weekend after his name was brought up on Barnes' podcast "All the Smoke," which he co-hosts with Stephen Jackson.

While appearing as a guest on the show, Gilbert Arenas explained why he feels Brown didn't live up to expectations in the NBA after being the #1 overall draft. Kwame shot back at Arenas, Jackson, and Barnes, and specifically calling Barnes "Becky with the good hair.

Barnes responded, stating, "I was confused because I never said nothing about that dude. Coming from us or coming from you I think you’ve been looking for attention, that’s all you’ve been searching for."

He added, "Bro you’ve been getting made fun of since you came in the league for not living up to expectations. People laugh and joke about you all the time. Me? I didn’t do that. Never laughed, never joked, cuz I don’t talk about people like that. Me tapping somebody’s knee, that’s what got you mad? You need a hug, bro. Before all this s*** even got moving around, once I heard you were talking s***, I DM’d you like a man."

Barnes then closed by telling Brown, "But you chose to ignore that. If you wanna be mad at anybody, be mad at MJ for picking you #1. I didn’t do that. I don’t know you, I never talked about you. It is what it is."

Former NBA player Kwame Brown did not take kindly to his name being brought up on  Showtime’s "All the Smoke" podcast hosted by Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes last week. Brown took to social media to respond to Gilbert Arenas speaking about him being drafted #1 overall by the Wizards in 2001 and some believing that he didn't live up to his potential.

Arenas believes that Michael Jordan destroyed Kwame's confidence while they played together on the Wizards, and he added that Wizards fans booing Kwame at home games also didn't help. Arenas went on to call Kwame a "show pony" who looked good but didn't produce so well.

In his video, Kwame states, "Stephen Jackson maybe you can put that motherf**king blunt out and pull your pants up on your ass and put that rag down and act like a grown ass man instead of a little ass boy."

He then addressed Barnes, stating, "Becky with the good hair, go to counseling and Gilbert you already knew, I was quiet on you for years and I wasn’t going to say nothing…you took food, what did I get 3 years/ 85 mil for the Lakers, I was supposed to get 88…N***** you took millions out my mouth, and you shout like you love black folks, you’re the whitest black boy I’ve ever known."
