Following the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol, former President Donald Trump has been banished from the major social media platforms, most notably Twitter.

Despite his banishment, Trump's thoughts still circulated Twitter through a new account, “@DJTDesk." However, the social media behemoth has since suspended the account as it looks to uphold Trump's ban from the platform. The DJTDesk account had a bio that read, “Posts copied from Save America on behalf of the 45th POTUS; Originally composed via DonaldJTrump/Desk.”

Within hours, though, the account was suspended. “As stated in our ban evasion policy, we’ll take enforcement action on accounts whose apparent intent is to replace or promote content affiliated with a suspended account," a Twitter spokesperson said in a statement on Thursday.

According to Jason Miller, a spokesman for Trump, the account wasn't set up by anyone in the Trump camp.
