The legendary rapper has been away from the public in the last few months due to his health status, which reportedly has found him in a rehab facility in the last year. Now, legendary rapper and fellow Juice Crew member Big Daddy Kane recently made an appearance on ’The Breakfast Club,’ where he gave an update on the health of Biz Markie.
Kane talked about a variety of topics but was asked about Markie’s health. Biz reportedly received a somber diagnosis after suffering a stroke, but Kane gave some hope. “He’s getting better,” said the “Smooth Operator” rapper. He continued saying, “He’s in rehabilitation now. He’s getting better and stronger every day. Last time I talked to him on the phone—he got a real light voice—last time I talked on the phone. He stuck his middle finger up at me, so I think he’s coming along.” Watch above.

In July, it was reported that Biz Markie had been hospitalized for weeks due to his Type II diabetes. The Juice Crew legend's status has remained unknown as he hasn't appeared on social media or his Rock The Bells radio show in months.
HipHopDX has learned from "a source close to Biz and his situation" that the rapper suffered a stroke during a diabetic coma and has been in a rehab facility for months.
"He's not doing great, but it's not as scandalous as it felt in the beginning," the source said. "Short story is Biz is diabetic, he had slipped into a diabetic coma, but that has happened to him in the past, and it would only last a little while. He would go to the hospital, get discharged, and get his meds under control. This particular time, he had a stroke while he was in the middle of the coma."
According to the source, Biz Markie is conscious but finds it difficult to communicate because the stroke affected his brain. His rehab facility is in the DMV area and he's said to be in good hands.
