According to reports, police are now investigating a double shooting that took place, with one of the shootings resulting in the passing of the victim. The shootings reportedly went down in the same neighborhood where the movie ‘Friday’ was filmed.
Homicide detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said they responded to a shooting call around 11:30 AM on April 20, near 126th, and Normandie, which is the same block that Craig—Ice Cube’s character, lived on in the movie.
Police said a woman was shot and taken to the hospital for injuries, while a man was shot and pronounced dead at the scene. The incident reportedly stemmed from a drive-by shooting. Law enforcement sources that spoke to TMZ said the shooting victims were in the area to look at the house, as the home from ‘Friday’ has become a tourist attraction. Police are still on the hunt for suspects in the shooting.
