Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was immediately taken into custody and had his bail revoked after the jury found him guilty on all three charges in the murder trial of George Floyd.

Chauvin was found guilty of second-degree murder, second-degree manslaughter, and third-degree murder after the jury spent less than a day deliberating what they heard from the prosecution and defense.

After Judge Peter Cahill read the jury's verdict, Chauvin was handcuffed and taken into custody by the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office. Cahill also granted the prosecution's request to revoke Chauvin's bail as he awaits sentencing.

Cahill later thanked the jurors for serving in the weeks-long trial, stating, "I have to thank you on behalf of the people of the state of Minnesota, for not only jury service, but heavy-duty jury service."
