Nate Robinson’s fight against Jake Paul didn’t go so well, as Robinson ended up getting knocked out in his professional boxing debut. The matchup didn’t last too long, as Robinson seemed unprepared for the punches thrown at him by Paul. Now, according to ESPN’s Stephen A Smith, Robinson made $2 million from the fight.
Smith noted that he spoke to sources “close to Nate” about the happenings behind the scenes and went on to read text from the source while on ‘First Take.’ The text to Smith said, “Nate walked out the arena [on Nov. 28 and] realized he was not trained well. [He] apologized for not listening and collected a little over $2 million for that fiasco. He's fine."
The source continued saying, “They are trying to get him to fight in a rematch, if you can believe that. Floyd 'Money' Mayweather wants to train him if he agrees. Crazy but true." The source also reportedly told Robinson “not to do it” in reference to a rematch. They went on to say, “but if he does, it needs to be for more money, and he needs to train with a pro for a very long time." Stay tuned for more updates.
