According to reports, Louisville Metro Police Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly has received a book deal to give his story about the fatal shooting of Breonna Taylor.

Tennessee-based Post Hill Press, a publisher known for its largely Christian and (politically) conservative titles, will publish Mattingly's book entitled The Fight for Truth: The Inside Story Behind the Breonna Taylor Tragedy. It's crucial to note; mainstream publishing powerhouse Simon & Schuster distributes Post Hill Press.

Mattingly, who was wounded in the incident after Taylor's boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, fired shots back at the officers who hadn't properly announced their presence. The officer subsequently sued Walker, stating that the gunshot wound to the leg he sustained caused “severe trauma, mental anguish, and emotional distress.”

There is no official release date for the book at the moment. Recently, Mattingly said on Twitter that he is still in the writing process.
