Previously, disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein was in the news after it was revealed that he appealed his conviction for rape, claiming the trial held was unfair. Now, according to Weinstein’s lawyers, he is losing his teeth along with his sight while in jail.
During a recent court hearing conducted by way of a video call, the attorneys for Weinstein argued against the producer being taken to Los Angeles for an indictment, saying “humanitarian” reasons are why Weinstein’s health has been on the decline.
Attorney Norman Effman said Weinstein is technically blind at this point, and that he’s lost four teeth. As a result, Weinstein’s attorneys are pushing for him to stay in a medical unit in New Unit, where he’s currently serving out a sentence for his rape conviction. Stay tuned for more updates.
