According to reports, Nike and the company behind the controversial Lil Nas X "Satan Shoes" have settled a lawsuit that will effectively recall all the shoes.

Nike's settlement with MSCHF Product Studio came after the athletic apparel giant filed a trademark infringement lawsuit over the devil=themed Nike Air Max 97s. MSCHF will remove all pairs of the "Satan Shoes" from circulation, in addition to their Jesus-themed Air Max 97s, which were released in 2019. MSCHF will also be refunding customers in full for returning purchased pairs.

IP lawyer David Bernstein who represents MSCHF told reporters, “MSCHF intended to comment on the absurdity of the collaboration culture practiced by some brands, and about the perniciousness of intolerance,” adding, “having achieved its artistic purpose, MSCHF is pleased to have resolved the lawsuit.”
