After his bond was denied last week, NBA YoungBoy was seen smiling in a newly-surfaced photo from jail. He was surrounded by other inmates in the photo, which was posted by DJ Akademiks.
YoungBoy was indicted on March 10 by a grand jury on charges that he possessed a firearm as a felon and that he possessed a firearm not registered to him in a federal database. He was arrested on March 22 in California following a police pursuit, and Chief U.S. District Judge Shelley Dick rejected the idea of releasing him on bond.
The judge stated that YoungBoy should remain jailed until a trial on weapons charges, stating that he was "inclined toward reckless, illegal, dangerous behavior," and adding that there is no combination of bond conditions that would ensure the community's safety.
