According to reports, two men have been charged with assaulting U.S. Capitol police officer Brian D. Sicknick during the Jan. 6 insurrection. Sicknick died a day later.

On Sunday, Julian Elie Khater, 32, of Pennsylvania, and George Pierre Tanios, 39 of West Virginia, were arrested and charged with nine total counts, three of which include assaulting officers with a deadly weapon, civil disorder, and obstruction of a congressional proceeding.

While both men are being accused of attacking the officer with bear spray, it is important to note that they are not being charged in connection to Sicknick's death.
