Footage of three women assaulting an Uber driver has gone viral. The driver, 32-year-old Subhakar Khadka, shot the footage, which shows the women screaming at the driver, while one woman sitting directly behind him grabbed his phone and later ripped his mask off.

KPIX reporter Betty Yu spoke to Khadka, who said he asked one of the women to wear a mask and drove to a nearby gas station to purchase one. Yu reports that Khadka stated that the women then "started yelling racial slurs, taunted him, and threatened to shoot him."

Khadka added that the woman wearing red pepper-sprayed him "like a roach." Khadka then told Yu, "If I was another complexion, I would have not gotten that treatment from them... The moment I opened my mouth to speak, they realized I'm not among one of them, so it's easy for them to intimidate me."

Uber paid Khadka $120 to clean the pepper-spray out of his car, which he said wasn't enough, as he had to exit his car to breathe following the incident.
