Cam Newton to Return to New England Patriots on 1-Year, $14 Million Deal

According to reports, Cam Newton is set to re-sign to the New England Patriots for one more season.

Adam Schefter of ESPN noted that the contract between Newton and the Patriots is worth up to $13.6 million, and about $6 million of the deal is tied to incentives. News of this comes after Newton spoke about his journey in the NFL on the ‘I Am Athlete’ podcast in February. Newton spoke on if he would be up for going back to the Patriots, saying: “I'm getting tired of changing [teams]. I am at a point in my career where I know way more than I did last year. Yes, I would go back."
