The UFC has been going strong during the pandemic, hosting various matches. The matches have found the camera focused on the fighters more than ever since there is no crowd to fully hype up the match due to COVID-19 protocols. However, the in-ring banter between fighters is being picked up more, and now fighter Tim Elliott has gone viral for his comments made to his opponent Jordan Espinosa.
During their fight, Elliott ended up getting Espinosa on the ground, attempting to hit him with elbows. While on the ground, Elliott said, “I heard you choked your girl in 2018. Are you a woman beater? She messaged me."
Espinosa can be heard saying, “Did she? You don't know the whole story.” Elliott responded by saying, “I know enough,” with Espinosa saying, “You don’t know s**t.” Tim Elliott ended up winning the fight by unanimous decision, and the manager of Espinosa responded to the claims, saying his words were “reckless slander.” Watch above.
