Iranian officials are outraged after American porn actress Alexis Texas appeared in a music video on an Iranian entertainment app.
The porn star was featured in Iranian pop star Sasy's music video for his single, "Tehran Tokyo." Alexis Texas is seen sensually removing a head covering and coat before dancing with the music artist. The trailer for the video currently has over 15 million views on his Instagram account, which boasts over 4 million followers.
The video's appearance on the Iranian app sparked an investigation by officials of the country, which has strict censorship rules regarding social media and entertainment distribution. YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter are all blocked in the country.
Sasy's videos are also banned in the country but his fans gain access to his music through virtual private networks (VPNs) and other means of getting around digital restrictions. The pop singer was an underground singer in Iran before leaving the country in 2009 and expanding his career in the United States.
