According to reports, iconic reggae artist Bunny Wailer has passed away at the age of 73.

Wailer, whose real name was Neville Livingston, passed away on Tuesday at the Medical Associates Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica. The news of Wailer’s death was confirmed by his manager, Maxine Stowe, and a cause of death was not given at this time. However, it was noted that Wailer was having very serious medical issues that stemmed from a stroke he suffered in 2020.

Wailer was a part of the original Wailers trio that featured Bob Marley and Peter Tosh. The trio came together and formed the group with Marley and Tosh at the front. However, it was Wailer’s solo efforts that catapulted him into legendary status. Albums like “Burnin” and “Catch a Fire” from the Wailers cemented his status along with Marley and Tosh’s legacy in reggae, making the trio important pioneers of the rise of the genre.
