Recently released bodycam footage from a Feb 6 encounter shows police in Ogden, UT, fatally shoot an armed man hiding in the bed of a pickup truck after leading police on a high-speed chase.
Dino Raul Morales was able to briefly evade police during their vehicular pursuit, but the 28-year-old was found in the pickup truck in a residential area soon after.
“Show me your hands. Show me your hands,” the cop says. “Show me your f—g hands mother f—r.”
Morales replies, “This is my house. This is my house, dude.”
A second cop can be heard saying, “He’s got a gun,” prompting the first officer to yell, “Show me your f—g hands [...] Drop the f—-g gun.”
Morales simply responds, “Nope."
The officer subsequently lets off eight rounds. Even after the shooting, the officer yells, “Show me your hands, [...] Don’t move. Show me your hands, dude. All you have to do is drop the gun.”
