Update 02/14/2021 5:06pm:

Previously, 50 Cent held a Super Bowl event in a private airport hangar located in St. Petersburg, Florida. The event went viral after the rapper was seen among many people at the event who were not social distancing and didn’t have on masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Since then, the mayor of St. Petersburg called out the rapper, along with the company Sky Addict Aviation.

Now, the owner of the company is being given the boot by city officials after the event. Sky Addict Aviation owner Abraham Tray spoke on the situation, saying that he has been given 180 days to leave after his lease was terminated as a result of hosting the event. Tray said, “We are in a situation that pointing fingers and making one person the scapegoat wouldn’t make a difference.”

Tray noted that the friend who asked to use the space assured him there would be safety protocols in place for the event, but the measures were ignored by people who attended the event. Tray went on to say “My business is now facing a crisis. An additional one, on the top of the global crisis that we are all facing for nearly a year already.” A spokesperson for Mayor Rick Kriseman said Tray’s lease is being removed because the company didn’t file the required safety plan for COVID-19.
