According to reports, former United States President Donald Trump has been acquitted by the Senate of all charges in his second impeachment trial.
The move to acquit Trump was made this Saturday by the Senate, who voted to acquit Trump of incitement of insurrection charges, stemming from an incident in January 2020 that left numerous people dead.
Reports noted that seven republicans voted to convict Trump for his alleged role in inciting a riot on the nation’s capital in order to disrupt the electoral vote count that would seal Joe Biden’s role as the new President of the United States.
