A 26-year-old former college basketball player, Logan Kelley, was arrested in Mexico for allegedly murdering a woman inside a Tijuana strip club Wednesday night.

The victim was 19-year-old Isis Montoya, who was reportedly a sex worker at Adelita's Bar in Tijuana's infamous Zona Norte. According to officials, surveillance footage showed a man matching Kelley's physical description sneak up behind Montoya and slice her neck with a folding knife before trying to flee the scene. Montoya was declared dead at the scene.

Kelley was allegedly detained at the scene by security guards and held until police arrived.

Logan Kelley played three games for Rutgers during the 2012-2013 season before attending the University of Montevallo. He was a standout in high school, leading the state of New Jersey in scoring during his senior year.
