Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban issued a harsh response after he was told what ESPN's Zach Lowe had to say about his franchise player, Luka Doncic.
During an interview on Vice TV’s Cari & Jemele Won’t Stick to Sports, the Mavs owner was asked about Zach Lowe calling Luka "one of the biggest whiners in the NBA." Cuban slammed the ESPN journalist in his response and clarified some points about his Slovenian star.
"I'll tell you exactly what I think, f*** you Zach Lowe. You don't know s***," Cuban responded. "I know Luka. He's not a big whiner. He's passionate, he cares. He wants to win...he's not a whiner, he's a baller."
Doncic was criticized by Zach Lowe on his podcast, The Lowe Post, and accused of sucking the life out of his team with his whining.
"Luka has become one of the biggest whiners in the NBA," Lowe said. "It's constant, every time he drives he is whining. He spent so much energy whining to the referees and slumping his shoulders to teammates, it sucked the life of the team many times."
Luka Doncic and the Mavericks have had a disappointing season after Doncic was predicted as the early season pick for MVP. Despite Doncic averaging 27 points and near triple-double, the team is currently in 14th place in the Western Conference with a 9-14 record.
