Roughly 24 hours after a heated exchange with LeBron James while sitting courtside during the Lakers matchup against the Atlanta Hawks, Juliana Carlos has come forward to apologize for cussing at James. 

"To say things escalated quickly at yesterday's game is an understatement and I want to apologize for losing my cool and removing my mask in the heat of the moment," she wrote on social media. "What should have been a quick back-and-forth between two adults got out of hand and my natural instinct to stand up for the an I love kicked in. Did I get defensive when that happened? Yes. Did I use offensive language when I could've taken the higher road? Yes. And for those these, I take full responsibility."

ESPN's Dave McMenamin also reported that "there will be no ban forthcoming for the four courtside fans ejected from Monday's Hawks-Lakers game, now that the Atlanta Hawks have conducted an investigation into the incident."

Previously, footage surfaced of LeBron James getting into an exchange with a couple who were sitting courtside during a Lakers - Hawks game. LeBron initially got into a back-and-forth with a man which stopped the game, then his wife chimed in. This led to the woman being removed from the game. Now, James has addressed the incident.

LeBron James went on to say, “At the end of the day, I'm happy fans are back in the building. I miss that interaction. We as players need that interaction." He also said he didn’t “feel like it was warranted to be kicked out.” From there, he got into what really happened with the exchange with him and the man, which ultimately led to “Courtside Karen” being kicked out of the game. Recently, the NBA brought back games that allow fans to attend in an extremely limited capacity to protect the safety of players and staff members. However, the NBA’s protocol for fans was put to the test this past Monday, as a woman was kicked out of a Lakers-Hawks matchup after she heckled LeBron James.

The woman, who was identified as Juliana Carlos, heckled LeBron after her husband had words with the player. However, once Carlos got involved in the back-and-forth, the situation seemed to go left. The woman claims she was kicked out “for talking s**t to LeBron James for talking s**t to my f**king husband.” The woman claims LeBron told her, “shut your mouth dumb b**ch.” However, in a press conference after the game, LeBron says he wasn’t close enough to her to say anything and that words were exchanged with her husband.
