False reports of Megan Thee Stallion dropping the charges against Tory Lanez spread across social media on Thursday.

A screenshot of a Los Angeles County-area court website showed that no information was found on the case (LACBA490599-01) and no date was listed for the next hearing date. A rep from the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office confirmed that the hearing date was pushed back from its original January 20 date, due to the Presidential Inauguration. The rep also pointed out that the criminal case summaries found on the website only provides "limited information."

Joe Coscarelli, a music reporter for The New York Times, tweeted that he spoke to a Tory Lanez rep who also called the reports false.

"A rep for Tory Lanez says it is NOT TRUE that charges against him in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting were dropped," Coscarelli tweeted before quoting the rep. "'The blog that posted this info is wrong. I assume the docket hasn't been updated...The next hearing date is in mid-February.'"

Megan Thee Stallion expressed her anger in the false reports on Twitter and accused Tory Lanez's team of spreading misinformation about the case.

"AT THIS POINT IM GETTING ANNOYED! STOP BELIEVING EVERYTHING YOU READ ON THE MF INTERNET," Meg wrote. "Imagine how I feel waking every day seeing people LIE and turn my trauma into a joke? That whole team figures out ways to create doubt with my story every week and the media eats it up. Y'all can't tell when s*** fake news? Y'all still don't see an ABUSER picking with me? The first court date got pushed back bc of the inauguration but I can't wait until the MF FACTS come out! B**** you shot me AND MY STORY NOT CHANGING AND B**** YOU GOING TO JAIL."

She continued by calling out detractors and fans who refuse to believe her story. She also highlighted some her recent traumas, including the loss of her mother.

"How tf I get shot now I'm the worlds biggest mf villain!?" she added. "All y'all p**** a** n***** and pick me a** h**s GONE EAT YO MF WORDS. Y'all so believe black women and protect black women online BUT WHEN I LITERALLY SAY I GOT SHOT ITS CONFUSING. Trauma is real I'm still traumatized from [losing] my mom dad and one of my grandmothers and on top of that being shot. I'm not open abt anything on the internet usually bc I like to keep my emotions private but I'm reaching my limit, Im going to keep staying positive."

It's worth pointing out that Megan Thee Stallion is not able to drop charges against Tory Lanez because he was charged by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. The next court date is scheduled for February 25.
