Siegfried Fischbacher of Siegfried & Roy fame has died at the age of 81. The news of Fischbacher's passing comes just a few days after he announced he had pancreatic cancer and roughly eight months after the passing of his professional partner, Roy Horn.

According to Fischbacher's sister, the entertainer died peacefully in his sleep at his Las Vegas home on Wednesday. Fischbacher was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and had the malignant tumor removed, but the cancer had already spread across his body. At Fischbacher's request, he was released from the hospital to live out his final days at home.

Siegfried & Roy made their names performing on the famous Las Vegas Strip, primarily at The Mirage from 1990 to 2003. During their height, Siegfried & Roy was reportedly the most popular show on the strip. However, their four-decade run together ended after the infamous tiger attack, which left Roy Horn partially paralyzed.

When Roy died in May from complications due to COVID-19, Siegfried said, "We did what we did out of love, not for success or money. We had a deep respect for each other. We literally raised each other: I created Roy, and Roy created Siegfried."
