He recounted how Gallo was blamed for the 1971 shooting of Joe Colombo, an attack which left Colombo paralyzed for life. However, DiMatteo said Gallo had nothing to do with it despite the rumors. Nevertheless, as DiMatteo explains, the fallout from the shooting had serious repercussions.
