Amid the controversy at the Capitol building, Twitter has suspended the president's account for 12-hours citing tweets of his as instigating violence. Moreover, Twitter has threatened to ban Trump's account permanently if the flagged tweets aren't removed.

One of the removed tweets found Trump referring to the Capitol Building mob as "great patriots," prompting the social media platform to warn the president that "future violations of the Twitter Rules, including our Civic Integrity or Violent Threats policies, will result in permanent suspension."

YouTube and Facebook also removed a short video from the president, claiming Trump's content was spreading false accusations about the integrity of the presidential election.
