Previously, it was noted that 1501 Certified Entertainment, that label Megan Thee Stallion is signed to, had a lawsuit filed against them by the star rapper. Now, J Prince has gone on record to say that the lawsuit against 1501 Certified Entertainment will be coming to an end soon due to Jay-Z.

While making an appearance on the ‘Big Facts’ show with Big Bank and DJ Scream, Rap-A-Lot Records mogul J Prince said, “[Head of the label] Carl Crawford is the homie. He's from 5th Ward, he's from my hood. Thanks to the homie Jay-Z right now because he and I are about to close that. I’m hoping that we close this week.”

J Prince went on to say, “In the beginning, see, some things that’s facts where independent labels are concerned. When we ignite and start movements, and it’s been going on since back in the day and probably before me, the majors will come in and try to take your s**t. That’s just how it go, you know what I mean? Clearly, that’s what was trying to take place where he was concerned and I couldn’t allow it to happen on my watch.”

J Prince continued on, saying, “We was able to balance that scale and let one know that he deserves to be compensated for the risk and different things he took.” Watch above.

Houston legend J Prince had posted an interesting message after news broke of Megan Thee Stallion's new management deal with Roc Nation. J Prince shared a photo with former MLB player and current 1501 Certified Ent. CEO Carl Crawford. Crawford, whose label Megan records under said of the signing on IG: "Congrats to @theestallion for signing with @rocnation 💪🏾‼️Blogs don’t understand what’s going on but we know u #DownbyLaw🤘🏾That’s Texas slag for u outta towners." 

J Prince's post, on the other hand, seemed to carry a deeper message as he wrote: 

"The music business is a business filled with sharks and cut throat people. So Congratulations to the homie Carl Crawford owner of 1501 Records @1501_certified_ent for breaking your first artist Megan Thee Stallion @theestallion . Carl is from my hood, better known as 5th Ward and I’m proud to be his new partner moving forward. Surprise to all that had plans on taking something from him, good luck with that. This is just the beginning."
