Trump has been reportedly fighting the process of turning over the presidency to President-elect Joe Biden, and now a phone call has surfaced where Trump is reportedly pressing a Republican top election official in Georgia to find votes to lead in his favor, which would overturn Biden’s victory in the state.
On the call, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger can be heard refusing to oblige to the request of Trump, even as Trump threatened possible criminal prosecution if he didn’t proceed with the action. On that call that reportedly took place last Saturday, Trump noted he wanted to find “11,780 votes” that would change the election in his favor in Georgia. Since then, Trump has taken to Twitter in attempt to call out Raffensperger, with Raffensperger firing back immediately. Votes in Georgia along with other states from the election were already certified, noting that Biden won the election fairly. Take a look above.
