Rowdy Rebel and Bobby Shmurda were applauded for holding each other down during their criminal case. Young Thug was one of a number of rappers who shouted out the two. Earlier this year, the Atlanta rapper posted a photo of Rebel and Shmurda on Instagram and announced that he had a reward waiting for when they were released.

"When they get out I fasho got some for em.. real n***** are still on earth," Thug wrote in a since-deleted post. "Rewards don't come with keeping it real but in this case IT DOES. Charlemagne was right for once."

Following Rowdy Rebel's release on Tuesday, the rapper has been embraced and is enjoying his freedom. In addition, he's already been spotted in the studio.

Earlier on Wednesday, the celebration continued as Young Thug followed through on his promise. The above video clip shows Rowdy Rebel receiving two bust down chains as a gift from Thugger. As the newly freed rapper showed off the chains, the cameraman is heard saying, "That's what Thug gave him," as Rebel says, "Shout out to my sun slime. Cmon, slime. Why you playing like that, slime? Shout out to the slime."

Now that Rowdy Rebel has been released, fans continue to wait for Bobby Shmurda's release. Since being denied parole in September, Bobby Shmurda is expected to serve the rest of his sentence until December 11, 2021.
