Pop Smoke is set to make his acting debut in the upcoming film "Boogie," which tells the story of how Asian-American Queens native Alfred “Boogie” Chin trying to make it to the NBA. The film is directed by Eddie Huang, known for his Vice series Huang's World and his book "Fresh Off the Boat," which was turned into a hit ABC sitcom.

Earlier this year, Pop Smoke's audition tape surfaced, which featured the Brooklyn native heckling his co-star. He spoke about the project with Angie Martinez before his untimely death, stating, "They got me playing some basketball player. I got some lines. It’s a nice role. I got a nice check too … I’m going to f**k with the acting."
