In the last few weeks, R&B star Jeremih has been going through a storied battle with COVID-19, after the singer reportedly contracted the virus and ended up in the ICU as a result. The news was revealed by his family and 50 Cent and others, who asked for fans and supporters to pray for him. Since then, updates have arrived, noting the singer was taken out of ICU. That came after it was thought that the singer might not make it. Now, Jeremih has given an update on his health.

The artist spoke to TMZ and said, “First and foremost, I would like to thank God and the incredible team of doctors and nurses at Northwestern Memorial Hospital for saving my life. I will be forever grateful. I would also like to thank my family and friends for all their prayers and well wishes. I'm overwhelmed with gratitude. A special thanks to Chance The Rapper, 50 Cent and Diddy for their love and support."

Chance The Rapper took to Twitter to reveal that singer Jeremih is coming home from the hospital after a scary COVID-19 battle, which included him being unresponsive and moved to the ICU on a ventilator.

Chance revealed on Thursday (December 3), "I AM FILLED WITH PRAISE RIGHT NOW I JUST HEARD MY BROTHER JEREMIH’S VOICE ON THE PHONE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ALMOST A MONTH HE WILL BE OUT THE HOSPITAL TOMORROW WE GIVE ALL GLORY TO THE FATHER IN JESUS NAME." He then added, "Thank you to the medical staff at northwestern and thank you to everyone who held him up in prayer even when it seemed so grim. We are a testimony."
