According to reports, a Texas man received two life sentences after murdering his pregnant ex-girlfriend and stuffing her body in a freezer. William James Hernandez, 39, was arrested after San Angelo police found his ex-girlfriend, 23-year-old Selena Ann Bradley, and their unborn son, Xavier wrapped in a tarp and hidden in the kitchen.

In addition to the two life sentences, Hernandez also received 20 years in prison on a tampering with evidence charge and 25 years in prison for four charges involving crimes against a child. When the 39-year-old was apprehended by police, he reportedly said he'd “done something bad and would go to prison for life.”

Bradley’s mother, Christie Skelton, said during the family's victim impact statement that her daughter's other two children, a 3-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter, were most affected. “They will never see their mommy again,” Skelton said. “We know we’ll have to relive this as they grow older and ask questions. The pain does not end today, but today, the healing may begin.”
