The nominations for the 2021 Grammys have surfaced, and many have taken to social media to express their opinions along with frustrations on the lack of nominations given to artists in categories where they deserved it. Previously, Quality Control CEO Pee Thomas spoke on the Grammys snubbing Lil Baby in the Album of the Year category, especially since the rapper made a powerful impact this year with the release of his ’My Turn’ album. Now, Nicki Minaj has weighed in with her thoughts on the Grammys, referencing a snub by the organization a few years back.
Via Twitter, Nicki said “Never forget the Grammys didn’t give me my best new artist award when I had 7 songs simultaneously charting on billboard & bigger first week than any female rapper in the last decade- went on to inspire a generation.
