The Houston Rockets star guard James Harden is focused on securing his first NBA championship and believes his best opportunity to achieve that goal comes via Brooklyn. Reports surfaced over the weekend that Harden requested a trade from Houston with the Philadelphia 76ers or Brooklyn Nets being his preferred destination. Those demands became more real after Harden turned down an extension with the Rockets that would've made Harden the first player in league history to make an annual salary of $50,000,000.

Harden has informed the team that he thinks the window to chase a championship has closed in Houston. He considers the Brooklyn Nets the most attractive prospect and sees it as a two-year play before opting out and deciding the next phase in career.
