Update 11/09/2020 3:36pm:
Multiple rumors and opinions have circulated since King Von's shooting death in Atlanta on Friday. Since being released from the hospital, Von's manager Jameson Francois has responded to criticism that he and the rest of King Von's entourage should have done more to save the rapper's life or avoid the incident altogether.
Francois sat with DJ Akademiks for an hour-long discussion on the incident and gave a detailed account of Friday's shooting. He responded directly to Asian Doll's claim that Von was left to die after shots were fired. The manager claimed that after Von was shot, the police started shooting and sent everyone scattering trying to figure out where the shots were coming from.
"Those shots that was fired by the individual that shot Von and myself was the only shots fired by those individuals," Francois said 20:18 into the interview. "Every other shot was coming from authorities. They started shooting everywhere, it was like a blanket full of shots going on. So when you see everybody taking cover, it wasn't taking cover away from the shooter away from Von they were taking cover because they didn't know where the shots were coming from...anybody with a weapon that day got killed."
Von's manager added that the footage of the shooting only shows one angle of the incident so everyone's complete actions aren't seen. He also said that the person who shot Von was hit from the back and still had his gun in his hand, so Von's crew had to retreat to a safe distance.
Another rumor Francois commented on was if the person Von was having his initial scuffle with attempted to save the rapper's life. He stated that even though the individual screamed that Von was shot, he wasn't sure how much he was trying to save his life.
Francois responded to Asian Doll again by showing alleged texts from Von's ex-girlfriend saying that Von's last words came to her through a spiritual adviser.
"I know you're mourning and you're hurt like everyone else, but you need to slow down because one, you wasn't there so how can make assumptions and accuse guys of doing this and that?" Francois asked Asian Doll. "And the last words she's talking about - and it's in a text message I can show you - she's talking about she's talking to Von through her spiritual adviser from after death."
After reading Asian Doll's text to DJ Akademiks, Von's manager defended everyone who was with Von that night. To hear more from Von's manager about the night of the King Von shooting, view the full interview above.
