Previously, it was reported that ex-WWE star Alberto Del Rio was charged with four counts of sexual assault along with a count of aggravated kidnapping. The charges stem from an alleged incident that went down in May 2020 involving Del Rio’s ex-girlfriend. Now, Del Rio denies the charges against him and that claims that he is the real victim in the situation.

The ex-girlfriend who made the claims against Del Rio (real name Jose Chucuan)— WWE star Paige said that Del Rio abused her on the regular during their relationship, saying the attacks went down daily before they split in 2017.

When contacted by TMZ, Del Rio denied the allegations and said, “It was the other way around. I have the evidence. Not just words.” Along with that, the ex-WWE star noted that he’s planning on taking legal action against Paige for defamation. Stay tuned for more details.

According to reports, ex-WWE star Alberto Del Rio was charged with four counts of sexual assault and one count of aggravated kidnapping. Police noted the charges come from an incident that went down in May 2020 involving his ex-girlfriend.

Police arrested Del Rio (real name Jose Rodriguez Chucuan) in San Antonio, Texas, after the woman said he went into a rage, accusing the woman of cheating on him. The accuser told police Chucuan smashed her laptop, cell phone and attempted to burn her passport in the alleged attack. Along with that, the woman says Chucuan had “feeling woozy and dizzy from hits to her head.” The man allegedly put a sock in her mouth to keep her quiet.

The charges Chucuan has been facing are serious. The maximum sentence for felony aggravated assault is 99 years, while the max for sexual assault is 20 years. Stay tuned for more details.
