On Friday, the Supreme Court ordered the Pennsylvania election boards to segregate the ballots that arrived after Election Day and tally those separately from the state's overall vote count. This ruling leaves open the possibility that the late-arriving ballots won't be counted.

Justice Samuel Alito signed the order as a slight compromise for the state's Republican party who requested the state not count any late-arriving ballots. Luckily for those hoping for a Biden presidency, the number of affected ballots appears to be somewhere between 3,000 and 4,000 votes which would only matter if a. the election comes down to Pennsylvania and b. if the margin between Biden and Trump is only a couple of thousand votes.
