Update 11/06/2020 10:14am:

Joe Biden has taken the lead in Pennsylvania, as he closes in on the tight presidential election. This comes after it was revealed that Biden took the lead in Georgia after mail-in ballots from Democrat-leaning counties were continued to be counted. Current numbers show that Biden leads Trump by nearly 6,000 votes in Pennsylvania and just over 1,000 in Georgia.

While it looks like Biden has the advantage of getting the 270 Electoral College votes needed to win the White House, Trump continues to spread unsupported accusations of voter fraud. He stated in the White House briefing room on Thursday (November 5), "This is a case when they are trying to steal an election, they are trying to rig an election."

On the other hand, Biden tried to ease tensions by stating, "I ask everyone to stay calm. The process is working. t is the will of the voters. No one, not anyone else who chooses the president of the United States of America."

Joe Biden has taken the lead in Georgia, with a slim 917 vote lead over Trump, due in part to absentee ballots from large Democratic counties being counted. It has been revealed that Clayton County is the source of the latest votes, with Biden winning about 85 percent of the vote there. The remaining uncounted votes in the state are mostly in Democratic-leaning counties.

Georgia is one of six states that have been rated too close to call or too early to call. The other states are North Carolina, Arizona, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. Biden currently holds a 253 to 214 lead in Electoral College votes, and if he wins Pennsylvania and its 20 electoral votes, he will secure the election. If not, he can win with any two of those other four states.

During a recent news conference, Donald Trump made claims about massive voter fraud in Pennsylvania. Republican Senator Pat Toomey reacted to Trump's claims, stating that once the state's final election count is "reached and certified, all parties involved must accept the outcome of the election regardless of whether they won or lost."

Retiring Texas Rep. Will Hurd also responded to Trump, stating, "A sitting president undermining our political process & questioning the legality of the voices of countless Americans without evidence is not only dangerous & wrong, it undermines the very foundation this nation was built upon. Every American should have his or her vote counted."
