NASCAR driver's Bubba Wallace and Denny Hamlin appeared on CBS This Morning Friday to unveil the race car for Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin's 23XI Racing team. Bearing the number made famous by Air Jordan, the vehicle sports the Chicago Bulls colorway that Jordan played in for most of his NBA career.
Wallace and Hamlin revealed the team's manufacturer and technical partner, Toyota and Joe Gibbs Racing. The relationship with Joe Gibbs Racing and Toyota Racing Development allows 23XI Racing to purchase equipment and share technical information.
"My main goal for 23XI Racing is to be competitive for a championship as soon as possible," Jordan said in a statement. "Our partnership with Toyota and Joe Gibbs Racing gives us the equipment, resources, and expertise to do it."
Bubba Wallace joined Jordan and Hamlin's NASCAR team shortly after leaving his previous team after the noose incident. Wallace will begin racing for 23XI in February when the new NASCAR season kicks off in Daytona.
