According to reports, rapper MBNel was arrested as part of a gang sweep by the Stockton Police Department in what they called “Operation Criptonyte.”
The Stockon PD reportedly teamed up with other agencies including the Manteca, Modesto, and Sacramento police departments to go after groups like the Asian Boyz, Lil Ruthless Criminal Comstocc Crips, Loctown Crips, Asian Crips, and Muddy Boyz Crips for alleged crimes committed. Investigators reportedly were able to get 55 search warrants which resulted in the seizure of almost $40,000 along with 5 pounds of meth, 1 pound of cocaine, 1,300 ecstasy pills, and a massive amount of weed.
MBNel was reportedly arrested among 34 others. The rapper was reportedly charged with possession of a controlled substance and false compartment activity. Since being arrested, the rapper’s manager Matthew Llewellyn noted MBNel is currently out on bail.
